It will present an overview of common features of such provisions\, including arbitration clauses and class action waivers. We will look at the practical effects of these provisions on the ability of consumers to avail themselves of statutory and common law rights and remedies\, and we will consider recent developments in case law addressing challenges to enforceability. \n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker: Martin Woodward is a partner in the Dallas law firm Kitner Woodward PLLC. For decades\, he has represented diverse groups of consumers in class actions\, arbitration\, and complex litigation. He currently serves as Texas state co-chair for the National Association of Consumer Advocates and as a member of the Council of the Consumer & Commercial Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.

Justice Lee brings over three decades of litigation experience and judicial service\, including presiding over both civil and family district courts in Dallas County. His insights into cross-border litigation are informed by career that spans more than 70 jury trials and numerous appellate arguments.
