Annual Reports

Section Annual Report submitted to the Texas Bar Journal by the Chair Gregg Stevens

The Consumer and Commercial Law Section is revamping its website, and we hope the enhanced website goes live shortly. The 18th Annual Consumer and Commercial Law CLE Course was live again this year and took place on September 22-23rd at the Texas Law Center in Austin. Chad Baruch won the Richard Alderman Award for CLE Excellence for his Legal Writing presentation. The 19th Annual Advanced Consumer and Commercial Law Course will be held September 21-22nd in Austin. The Section’s council will meet in person in San Antonio in late April, and then the entire Section will meet in Austin in June at the State Bar Annual Meeting. We plan to announce the Craig Jordan Writing Competition winner at that time. Finally, section members continue to receive their acclaimed Journal of Consumer & Commercial Law, edited by Richard Alderman, and published by the University of Houston Law Center; the Lexology news feed; and discounted attendance at Section CLE programs.

CONSUMER AND COMMERCIAL LAW SECTION

The Section continues to offer members free subscriptions to:

  • its acclaimed Journal of Consumer & Commercial Law published in cooperation with the University of Houston Law Center; and
  • the Lexology newsfeed featuring articles on timely consumer and commercial law decisions.
